Who we are
Keeper is a personal reflection subscription operated by ActualLife, based in Bangkok, Thailand. The person behind every Keeper reply is Joyce — you can reach her at joyce@actuallife.me.
What we collect
- Your email address — so we can send you the Monday Letter and the rest of your weekly rhythm.
- What you write on your A4 — your year, month, and week goals, pace preferences, and any reflection gate notes you choose to share. This is the raw material Keeper draws from.
- Rhythm preferences — your weekly sketch (what Monday looks like, what Sunday looks like), and whether you opted in to calendar sync or pace change requests.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe gives us a subscription status and the billing email, nothing else.
- Replies to Keeper emails — stored in our inbox (Gmail / a standard business email provider) so Joyce can read and respond.
We do not collect: your location, your contacts, your browsing history, or anything we don't explicitly show you on the page where you typed it.
How we use it
- To write your Letter. Your A4 is the source material. When the Monday Letter is drafted (manually in early weeks, then assisted by an AI writing tool), the words come from what you wrote.
- To send the emails. Letter, whispers, pulse, breath, Sunday close — all delivered to your inbox.
- To respond when you reply. Every reply reaches Joyce. She answers personally.
- To run the subscription. Receipts, payment issues, cancellation confirmations.
That's the whole list. No other uses.
What we will never do
- Sell or rent your data to anyone, for any reason.
- Show you ads, or let third parties target you based on what you wrote.
- Train public AI models on your personal writing.
- Share your A4 with anyone other than the person behind Keeper (currently Joyce).
Third-party tools we rely on
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe privacy policy.
- Vercel (or equivalent static host) — hosts this website.
- Gmail / Google Workspace — email delivery and the inbox Joyce reads from. Google privacy policy.
- Writing tools — Joyce may use writing assistants (including AI tools) to help shape drafts. The voice, edits, and final words are always hers before any Letter goes out. Your A4 is never used to train any third-party model.
If we add any new third-party tool that touches your data, we'll update this page and tell you in a Keeper email before the change takes effect.
How long we keep your data
While you're subscribed, we keep your A4, rhythm, and reply history so Keeper can keep walking with you over time. If you cancel, we keep a minimal record for 90 days (in case you want to come back), then delete the rest.
You can ask for full deletion at any time — even while subscribed — by replying to any Keeper email. We'll confirm within 7 days.
Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and similar laws where you live, you have the right to:
- See what we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Export it in a readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, reply to any Keeper email or write to joyce@actuallife.me. No forms, no tickets — just ask.
Children
Keeper is written for adults and not directed at anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, reply to any Keeper email and we'll delete the account.
Security
We use reputable providers (Stripe, Google, Vercel) with standard encryption and access controls. No system is perfect; we'll tell you within 72 hours if something meaningful goes wrong.
Changes to this page
If we change how Keeper handles your data in any way that affects you, we'll update this page and send a Keeper email explaining what changed and why — before the change takes effect.
